An Integrated Language Arts Approach to Teaching Essential Word-Recognition Strategies.

The 48-page Teacherís Guides provide step-by-step lessons and dozens of reinforcement and application suggestions. To complement the applications, the guides list childrenís books that may be used to apply word patterns. Appropriate books are listed under the Extension and Application sections of lessons and at the end of each unit with additional titles listed in Appendix C. Each guide also contains a Placement Test (Appendix E) as well as end-of-unit/end-of-book tests and Special Help for the Teacher (Appendix D).
